A social and exhibition event showcasing program leader and grantee work through poster presentations. Presentations will overview and spotlight strategies, learning, and impact related to programs, partnerships, and their evaluation.
Presentations will include presentation of any Wikimedia-related project at any stage. Whether a project leader is still in a planning phase for a new project, they have just begun the work, or they have a completed project to report results from, all varieties and stages of process will be included in the session’s presentations. For instance, presenters may use a poster to share ideas and get feedback, to outline a project plan and evaluation strategy, to report on project progress and challenges, or to report the final outcomes of a completed project and next steps. For even more idea about how poster presentations might be designed, such as what kinds of information might be included, check out the Learning Pattern, "Posters that work": and some of the posters from our privately held poster session at Wikimania Learning Day as a pilot in 2014.
We will invite potential presenters to submit their posters for inclusion with a more clear set of instructions upon acceptance of the session.
Additional note on logistics: Movement and program leaders will be invited to submit their posters for printing on site so that they do not have to pay for printing or transport. The session should be an academic-conference-style poster session with a sort-of happy hour in a room with rolling boards for presenters posters to be pinned up. Presenters would have a set time to come and hang their posters and rotate who is present at their posters over the course of the event so that presenters can also mingle and learn from one another about their Wikimedia projects and programs. Budget for printing and hosting will be provided by WMF Learning and Evaluation team.

It would be great if we could leave the poster exhibition up near the community village or on display somewhere so that people might view them over the course of the conference.
