OTRS is the email response system, supporting all of the projects of the Wikimedia Foundation. OTRS handles emails related to content, images, and sensitive issues on all projects. Additionally, chapters and special events are able to request queues related to their area of interest. However, OTRS is a "black box," isolated from the community-at-large by privacy concerns. This presentation aims to educate people as to the nature of OTRS and what happens "behind the scenes" during the handling of permissions and other issues.
