- VicuñaUploader (VU) is a standalone software written for batch uploads of files to Wikimedia Commons, a Wikipedia file repository, or whatever wiki project. It is substitution of similar software called Commonist or Wikimedia Commons' UploadWizzard. When UploadWizzard fails because of browser crash or more files you need to upload over its limit; when Commonist drives you crazy after losing two hour work - VicuñaUploader comes to help you to upload whatever amount of files, and to help you to prepare batches off-line and save unfinished sessions.
- In this tutorial I will show you, how to install this software written by user Yarl and how to prepare images and other files for upload. I will show you most of its features, how you can use them. Questions are also welcomed. You don’t have to be a geek to use VU!
- After tutorial there will be possibility to give feedback regarding usability and request adding missing functions.
