Customary on Wikimania wiki's is to have submissions for program items to be added as subpages of this page, that is Submissions and not in a separate namespace, for example Proceedings:. Customary also is to end each submission with a section "Interested Attendees". People interested in attending the program item being submitted are asked to enter their signature on the list. VisualEditor has a button to insert "Your signature" but not on main space / article namespace articles like (sub)pages of Submissions. I would like to add next year my signature to the lists of Interested Attendees using VisualEditor. That will requires changing a setting to allow entering of signatures with VE in the main space, or having all submissions entered in a separate namespace in which entering of signatures is allowed, or any other method that would allow me to push a buttion or use VE to note my interest in a submissions without having to enter four tildes ~~ ~~ in source code mode. Timezone for deadline

Hi Wikimania organizers! I was interested in submitting a talk proposal but seem to have guessed wrong about what timezone you had in mind for "end of day February 28th" - there was no timezone listed on the page, and I had assumed it was midnight local time for Mexico City instead of midnight UTC. Hmm, where did it say that? That wasn't written anywhere I could see it. At midnight UTC, the Submissions page got changed to say "Call for submissions are closed now." Dreamyshade (talk) 23:39, 8 March 2015 (UTC)Reply
