Talk:Submissions/The coolest projects of Wikimedia Chapters - be inspired
Am inspired!
Dear Dero avi,
Thank you so much for proposing this session. I'm happy to see that it was accepted. I can't wait to be even more inspired, because, as noted, I already am. :)
There doesn't seem to be a general page about this contest on Meta wiki, linking to past winners, nomination process, evaluation criteria, media coverage, etc. This would be good to have for when a citation is needed -- for example, grant applications, newsletter articles, and blog posts.
Also, I'm wondering about cool projects that are not affiliated with a Wikimedia Chapter, for example #100wikidays, which was the brain child of an individual Wikimedian whose movement affiliation is with a user group, because there is no local chapter. Would such a project be eligible for consideration among the coolest?
Some of the past coolest projects, such as WikiCamp, are already a part of the Wikipedia Education Program, which is why I am asking with my staff hat on.
